Summer holidays, the Jubilee and the Derby!

It's not all work for me once the summer arrives and May and June are my favourite months of the year. I plan meticulously to ensure that clients are well informed before I jet off to the sun, and they in turn can plan their work so they're not left in the lurch.

So the Amalfi Coast in Italy has to be one of my favourite places - we jetted off to Naples for a week in the sun and we had the most brilliant weather especially as in early May the weather in Italy isn't necessarily that hot. But each day we had glorious sunshine, blue skies, a blue sea and plenty of Aperol Spritz!

No sooner were we back, than the country celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee - 70 years on the throne and an inspiration for many. We decided to join in the celebrations as we were staying near to London for a week: we visited Windsor Castle, watched the fly-past over the Mall, listened to the 84 gun salute and weaved our way through hundreds of thousands of people. We even went to the Races - the Derby at Epsom Racecourse - and what an atmosphere. I know horses can move fast, but I couldn't believe the speed those horses race at!

So we've had a fantastic few weeks and it's back to work now - but the busy month of August and the sailing will soon be upon us. Currently, the Island is sweltering in temperatures nudging 30C and the Isle of Wight Festival has just kicked off. It's all go.....!!
